SOUS CHEF OPPORTUNITY HAS ARISEN | London Jobs | Adolphus Group Hiring

EXCITING OPPORTUNITY HAS ARISEN FOR AN EXPERIENCED SOUS CHEF
to work in a luxurious 5 star hotel based in central London.
It is likely that you'll be cooking fine dining or French dishes, but modern kitchens offering informal or contemporary menus generally have two or three sections, too.

DUTIES & RESPONSABILITIES:
- Running of the kitchen on a day to day basis in the absence of the Head Chef.
- Lead and inspire the brigade to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly at all times
- Help develop the junior chefs.
- Ensure consistency of produce throughout the kitchen.
- Supervise service ensuring presentation of food is compliant with restaurant standards.
- Assist the Head Chef in menu compilation and possess an in depth knowledge of the full menu.
- Support the management team to ensure targets are met with labour and food costs.
- Compliance with food labelling and temperature controls.

- Great cooking skills
- Good communicaton skills
- An ability to delegate appropriately
- Organisational flair
- A grasp of profit margins

QUALIFICATIONS
- The 14-19 Hospitality & Catering diploma
- City & Guilds diplomas in professional cookery
- BTEC HND in professional cookery
- A foundation degree in culinary arts
- Any health and safety and food hygiene courses
